Informational Interview
The purpose of an informational interview is to gather career advice for occupational research and career development. Out of this process, a natural professional friendship is developed and can lead to internships or employment information. Contacting others with the intent to “shake them down for a job” is not only self-harming but will jade someone from agreeing to an informational interview request in the future. Please do not confuse an employment interview with an informational interview.
