Carving designs into linoleum or etching in  plexiglass, or using collograph or monotype, explore registration, editioning and inking methods. Emphasis is on craft, experimentation and translating ideas into multiple prints.

Materials for the first class

  • unmounted linoleum if you buy larger can be cut and is cheaper.
  • 3 pieces of 4″ × 6″ Speedy-Carve block
  • Speedball Water-Based Block Printing Ink colors Red, Yellow, Blue Black, White , $4 per colors
  • paper 1 pad of Strathmore 300 Series Printmaking Pads 8’x10’ ($8.03 ) or 
  • Watercolor medium heavy paper pad is good for transferring the linocut in etching press
  • Tracing Paper or wax paper
  • Pencil B 6
  • permanent marker
  • some images for inspiration 
  • 1 pad of Bristol paper medium size
  • 3 sheet of Clear Acrylic Plexiglass Sheet – 1/16″ Thick – 9″ x 12″
  •  $3 75 on amazon
  • (we need the plexiglass for dry point, intaglio, monotype and also for rolling the ink out.)
