Details about this class

Welcome to Intro to Psychology 202A! I am thrilled to be your instructor and excited to get to know you all through this fascinating class. Together we'll explore identifying psychological, social, cultural, and biological factors that influence behavior and mental processes. You'll learn how to apply key theories and concepts in psychology. We'll evaluate claims about psychological phenomena and human behavior through the use of empirical evidence. And lastly, you'll be able demonstrate knowledge about the ways psychological science and practices are contextualized by ethical standards and sociocultural factors.

Here are the details for our course:

Our course meets in person twice per week (Mon and Wed 9:00 AM-10:50 AM). Attendance is factored into your grade and participation is the best way to get the most out of the class. The class will include weekly readings and weekly assignments. During our class, you can expect to experience a combination of lecture, quizzes and small group activities to discuss the concepts and practice the related skills. I offer multiple opportunities of extra credit as well to make up necessary points.

Technology

Starting September 21st, our class will meet in person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am to 10:50am on Cascade Campus.

During this term we will be using D2L at times to interact with class materials and submit homework assignments.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
