Details about this class
We meet together at 11:00 a.m. every Wednesday in our assigned classroom. Class meetings are intended to be interactive and to include discussion, review, and lecture. Much class activity will happen online, though.
This class unfolds in weekly modules. Every week, you have opportunities to learn the course material through assigned and optional readings and through structured online discussions of assigned questions. You have opportunities to demonstrate your knowledge by participating in those online discussions every week, by taking weekly quizzes online, and by completing several written assignments during the term. You also have options throughout the term to earn some extra credit.
We use a textbook published by Cengage Publishing, but will not use their related MindTap materials, so you are not required to obtain a MindTap access code for this class.
If this seems right for you, welcome! I look forward to meeting you at our first class meeting on September 23.
Technology
There is no additional technology required for this class.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
