At the time I was completing pre-requisites for the nursing program at PCC and I needed to get a good grade in this notoriously challenging class. Poulami made the material accessible to me even though I was coming from another campus, and her teaching style was just what I needed to really make the content stick. I chose her class based on online reviews and drove from SE Portland to attend the sessions hoping it would be worth the commute – it was. I’m proud to say I’m about to start my second year of the nursing at PCC and I am grateful to apply concepts I learned in Poulami’s class all the time in my program.
Thank you Poulami!

I was struggling in anatomy before I took her class since I have dyslexia and adhd, her teaching style in class is very equitable and I remember making a bone model in her class that helped me learn since I’m a kinesthetic learner! As a student with disability accommodations this type of learning structure is important for me.

She is amazing and I’ve never experienced a class where everyone was involved in her lecture classes. Her quizzes were the best because she provided a word bank. Anatomy is hard and I felt like her quizzes helped me memorize things better.

Her curriculum is by far the best I’ve ever experienced and I’ve been a PCC student since 2010. She is an asset to PCC!

I believe that her methods helped me where now I am in my last year in the radiography program at pcc and I owe it to her and Michelle for believing in me and teaching in different learning styles!
