Panthers earn third-place finish at Crossover Tourney

The men’s basketball team took third place in its own Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Crossover Tournament on Dec. 22 at the Cascade Campus. The Panthers beat Edmonds 97-85 win over Edmonds to take the third third-place trophy. The Panthers went up 88-81 with 4:36 to play following Carl Appleton’s reverse layup. Edmonds cut the gap to a one-possession game in the final minutes, but Portland ended the game on a nine-point surge. Portland improved to 7-4 on the season.
