Having visited San Antonio twice, I can say you have come from one great city to another! We are glad you are here and look forward to working together.

It has developed a lot since then, but the landscape and the civic ethic were much the same. I transferred to Reed College from Rice University, and was born in San Antonio…what can I say but “welcome” and “you will create an amazing life in Portland and at PCC.”

Needless to say I was excited and honored. Dr. Howard actually made the interview enjoyable and relaxing. I also look forward to working for someone who can appreciate one’s dedication in working for an Associates Degree: I will walk this spring with my associates as a senior citizen. Welcome Dr. Howard!

By taking online classes this term, I created room for my travel. I now miss being within reach to my college environment.

I’m just begining my career in teaching, and as a teaching faculty intern within FDIP, I’m inspired by President Howard’s story of academic accomplishment. However, I’m more inspired that she went back to earn her Associates degree while having already earned a bacherlors, masters and doctorate. For me, that shows President Howard’s dedication to students and that she shares a commom bond among students as they too, are aspiring to earn thier associates. I look forward to meeting President Howard one day, as I’m co-teaching on the SE Center campus within the MSD.
