We are pleased to hear that Sylvia is being recognized for her wonderful accomplishments and honored. She was our Western Civ instructor and was a great teacher who made the students want to learn more. We and our fellow students left the class appreciating other cultures and their history, recognizing the importance of learning history to understand our world today, learning to get the facts before making a judgement. As the college caps its diamond anniversary celebrations, a total of 4,200 degrees, certificates and awards will be handed out and about 700 students are planning to walk in front of thousands of friends, family and community members.
