Classes for Spanish speakers explore computers

HILLSBORO, Ore. – Computers often seem like they use another language, and for those who speak only Spanish, learning computers presents an added challenge. In two upcoming classes, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ will provide Spanish-speaking students with opportunities to learn to use a computer effectively in classes held in Spanish, taught by instructor Rodrigo Aguirre. In Computers in Spanish: Level I: Students will learn the basic skills necessary to operate a personal computer. Discover the Windows desktop and how to open programs, manage files, and create, edit and print documents. The class will be offered twice as follows: from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 10 through Feb. 7, and from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 14 through March 14. Both classes meet in Room 112 at the Hillsboro Education Center, 102 S.W. Washington St. Cost is $89. In Computers in Spanish: Level II: Increase your skills and enhance competency using the Windows desktop. The class will be offered twice as follows: from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 12 through Feb. 9, and from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 16 through March 16.
