Step 3: Provide Your Source Material (Upload Content)

In the new window, select the language for the generated content. You can then feed the AI engine in three different ways. Choose the tab that matches your content:

  • Option A: File – Click “Choose File”, select your document (PDF, DOCX, DOC) or audio/video file (MP3, MP4) from your computer, and click “Open”.
  • Option B: Link – Select “Link” and paste the URL of a web page, YouTube video, Panopto lecture, or Wikipedia article.
  • Option C: Text – Select “Text”, type in a descriptive title, and paste your plain text directly into the box (must be under 400,000 characters).

(Optional Accessibility & Customization Tip): Before proceeding, look for the customization text box. You can type a prompt here to tailor the output to your specific student demographic, such as: “Ensure the vocabulary and question depth are tailored for a 100-level community college introductory course.”

  3. Review the text box. Delete any unwanted background noise text, copyright warnings, or broken formatting that might confuse the activity generator.
  4. When you are finished editing, click the “Continue” button. You will see an “analyzing” message indicating the file is being processed. Once the file is processed, a “Review Concepts” button will appear.

Step 5: Select Key Learning Concepts

  1. Select the “Review Concepts” menu option.
  2. The system will display a list of core terms, definitions, and topics it pulled from your text.
  3. Read through the list. Uncheck the boxes next to any minor or irrelevant terms you do not want your students to be tested on.
  4. Once you have finalized your key target concepts, click the “Continue” button.

  4. Click the “Generate Content” button.

Step 7: Final Review and LMS Integration
