If I have taken a class for 3-credits at another college, and PCC offers this class as a 4-credit class, can I still use it to meet prerequisite and degree requirements? /ask-the-panther/331/ Wed, 19 Oct 2022 16:32:00 +0000 /ask-the-panther/2010/08/24/if-i-have-taken-a-class-for-3-credits-at-another-college-and-pcc-offers-this-class-as-a-4-credit-class-can-i-still-use-it-to-meet-prerequisite-and-degree-requirements/ Yes. PCC will allow students to use the 3-credit version of courses that have recently changed to 4-credit courses at PCC as prerequisites and to meet program requirements.  The course requirement will be met, but if you took the course for 3 credits, you will not receive 4 credits.

So, if the 3-credit course you took at another college or university is determined to be equivalent to our version of the class, then it will work as a prerequisite or program requirement – just as if you had taken that class at PCC.

For additional information, speak with an academic or program advisor.
