Do I need to declare a major before I transfer?

You do not need to declare a major before you , but the university will ask you to declare your major when you reach junior status. Knowing your major early on will help you plan a proper course of study and possibly save you time and money.
Additionally, if you are transferring to PCC from another school, you are required to initially declare a major/degree option. You will benefit from declaring a major/degree at PCC in that you will have registration priority.
