This was painted at Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center off Pacific Highway in Sherwood. Â The view moves from pathways in the foreground to wetlands in the middle ground to the hills of Newberg in the distance. Â The flat shapes and graphic outlines of forms create a strangely cartoon-like treatment. Sometimes nature presents as a graphic moment, not just the swim of air, moisture, earth and trees.
